38. Presley Monroe GROSS (John Robert33, Ellison17, Solomon Jr7, Solomon Sr.2, Jonathan1) was born in 1842 and died in 1912.

Presley was captured in the Civil War and was placed in a prison camp for several months. We know of two children by name, but according to Lon Gross, there were other brothers and sisters.

Presley married Martha Janes "Mary Jane" BOOTHE. Martha was born in 1845 and died in 1891.


Their children were:

   44 M    i. Robert GROSS .
   45 M    ii. Lon GROSS was born in 1872 and died in 1957.
39. Ellison Lafayette GROSS (John Robert33, Ellison17, Solomon Jr7, Solomon Sr.2, Jonathan1) was born in Jasper County and died in Mississippi.

Ellison married Laura L. HARRIS. Laura was born on 5 Dec 1845 in Alabama, died on 12 Mar 1932 and was buried in Hebron Cemetery, Ark.


Their children were:

   46 M    i. Robert "Bob" GROSS .

Eldest son of Ellison on Laura Gross. There are no known descendents.

+ 48 M    iii. William Ellison GROSS was born on 27 Jul 1873 and died on 17 May 1945.

+ 50 F    v. Sallie GROSS was born on 29 Sep 1880.
   51 M    vi. Jefferson Tildon GROSS .
   52 M    vii. Bartholomew "Bartha" GROSS .
   53 M    viii. Gustavus Elyah GROSS .
   54 M    ix. Taylor Britt GROSS .
